While the 2026 return of the ‘Sick New World‘ festival remains officially under wraps, some new details regarding when and where the fest will take place next year have newly surfaced online. First off, the official press application for the fest has revealed the that next year’s comeback will take place April 25th, 2026. Theprp.com has seen the actual application page firsthand from the aforementioned leak. Furthermore an additional page posted on a support section for the festival’s website has confirmed the event will once again be held at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV.
As of press time, the lineup for the event has yet to be confirmed. However, it seems highly likely System Of A Down will be back to headline, with the band’s own frontman Serj Tankian having confirmed as much during a meet & greet this year.
After two successful years in 2023 and 2024, the ‘Sick New World‘ festival faced its first major hurdle in late 2024. Sluggish ticket sales paired with a a pricey bill that was overbooked with bands saw the planned 2025 edition of the festival scrapped months ahead of its planned launch.
That ill-fated, and admittedly ambitiously booked bill, reportedly had guarantees of $5 million dollars each for Metallica and Linkin Park alone, leaving too much financial risk on the table if the event didn’t sell out quickly.
