Saint Asonia‘s (Staind, Three Days Grace, etc.) cover of Black Sabbath‘s “Paranoid” is now officially available. The origins of this rendition pre-date this past July’s passing of Sabbath vocalist, the iconic Ozzy Osbourne. Instead, this cover was first laid down by the hard rock supergroup back around 2022.
Saint Asonia have since decided to now release the track, dedicating it to Osbourne. They stated of it:
“We actually recorded this cover years ago while we were recording the Extrovert EP. It didn’t end up on the EP, and when we recently lost Ozzy, we all talked, and decided now was the time to put it out there. It’s just our own little tribute to the band and the man who changed the landscape of heavy music forever, and opened the door for bands like us. We love you Oz.”
