KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons was briefly hospitalized yesterday, October 07th, after losing consciousness behind the wheel of his Lincoln Navigator. NBC4 report that the 76-year-old mentioned he had passed out/fainted while driving along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA yesterday afternoon.
Simmons‘ vehicle is said to have careened across several lanes of traffic before colliding with a parked car. First responders attended the scene and took him to a nearby medical facility which he has since been discharged from and is now recovering at home.
Simmons and his wife Shannon Tweed have confirmed to several press outlets that he is ‘fine’. Tweed also noted that Simmons recently had a change in medication which may have contributed to the crash.
