Members of Foo Fighters, Tool, System Of A Down and more have united on an all-star Spinal Tap tribute album set to raise funds for Teen Cancer America. That record is available now through a donation at teencanceramerica.org — a non-profit founded by The Who‘s Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend.

Released in conjunction with ‘Spinal Tap II: The End Continues‘, last month’s sequel to the beloved 80s mockumentary ‘Spinal Tap‘, various famous musicians delivered covers of their ‘Spinal Tap‘ classics. The collective of S.S.R.J.C.T. took on “Big Bottom” for the effort. While that acronym may elicit a heads scratch, there’s no shortage of talent involved as the following players took part:

Troy Sanders (Mastodon)
Kelli Scott (Failure)
Scott Reeder (ex-Kyuss, etc.)
Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters)
Just Chancellor (Tool, etc.)
Abby Travis (The Go-Go’s)

Other contributors to the effort included System Of A Down drummer John Dolmayan sitting in with Antenna The End, while Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed appears as Jason Achilles. That triple album has been christened ‘The Majesty of Rock – An All-Star Spinal Tap Tribute Album to Benefit Young People with Cancer.

It also features contributions from members of Queens Of The Stone Age, Soul Asylum, Foreigner, Vixen and The Handsome Family. A collective of musicians suffering from cancer dubbed the Play It Back Players have also contributed songs to the compilation.
