Slaughter To Prevail's Alex Terrible Says His Russia-Based Mask Business Has Suffered "Very Heavy Losses" Due To A Building Collapse With No Insurance

Slaughter To Prevail vocalist Alex Terrible has called for support in light of the recent struggles his Russia-based mask making business has endured. For some time now, Terrible has been selling various ‘Kid Of Darkness’ masks based on the one he himself sports onstage. However, earlier this year, the Russian deathcore vocalist and aspiring bare knuckle brawler was hit with a significant loss when the building housing the business collapsed.

Compounding the issue, Russia has already been hit with sanctions from many Western nations since invading Ukraine in 2022. Russia has also been hit with significant tariffs from the United States since 2022 under then U.S. President Joe Biden, with the situation continuing to escalate. The recent elimination of the De Minimis Exemption by the U.S. has also presented many challenges for importing goods into the United States from foreign countries.

As Terrible stated yesterday, October 05th, his business didn’t have insurance for the building collapse, which led to considerable lost product, as well as downtime and the costs associated with relocating the business. Terrible also revealed yesterday the impact the building collapse had on his mask business, stating it had incurred “very heavy losses.” Here’s what he had to say:

“Dear fans,

Right now we need your support more than ever. As you may know, our old building collapsed (we still haven’t been told the official reason), but fortunately, none of us were hurt. We didn’t have insurance, which is very rarely practiced in Russia. Because of this, we suffered very heavy losses.

At the moment, we’ve thrown all our energy and resources into repening our business from scratch in a new building. We’ve purchased everything we need and prepared it for work. We’re really looking forward to your orders and are working on fulfilling past ones, which we will send out very soon. We count on your support and, as always, your patience.

We put our hearts into making every mask of the highest quality. This is all handmade — casting, painting, assembly, and more. Handmade work like this is usually very expensive on the market. But we sell our masks at super low prices, almost at cost. And we are very happy that you continue to buy them. We want to see lots of masks at the Slaughter to Prevail concert!

However, we are forced to raise our prices because the U.S. has introduced a tax on importing goods from Russia. Still, we will do everything possible to keep this tax as low as we can (we’re already in talks with accountants and the logistics company).

We are really looking forward to your orders, guys! This is not just a mask. This is already a cult!”

Those masks, if you’re curious, are available through alexterrible.com.
