The Foo Fighters have newly issued a a live EP titled “Are Playing Where??? Vol. I” through Bandcamp. That six-song outing features performances captured during the group’s recent string of last-minute shows in various intimate venues across the United Sates, including their sets at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA, The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA, the Black Cat in Washington, D.C. and Toad’s Place in New Haven, CT.
The release of the effort coincides with today (October 03rd) being Bandcamp Friday, where the aforementioned service waives their fees on artists. The alternative rock kingpins will continue the frequent charity work of their frontman/guitarist Dave Grohl with this new outing, pledging to donate any proceeds generated by this EP to charities in the aforementioned cities.
The string of shows represented on this EP marked the band’s recent return to the stage after roughly a year, having gone on hiatus after Grohl admitted to infidelity outside of his marriage in September of 2024. They also served as the first live shows for the chart-topping outfit since they welcomed ex-Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin into their ranks.
