Sick Of It All vocalist Lou Koller has made the sad announcement that his cancer has returned. This health setback emerges several months after Koller was declared cancer-free this past May. Koller first announced he had been diagnosed with a tumor in his esophagus back in June of 2024 and has underwent various treatments since. In a video statement shared this morning via the band’s social media, Lou stated:
“Hey everybody, what’s up? It’s Lou here. I don’t know if you could tell it’s me by my new skeletal look that I have going on.
Here’s an update for you, it’s not one I want to make. But unfortunately, the cancer has come back, and he brought some friends with him.
I was having a really hard time with my recovery. I was having a tough time gaining weight and keeping food down, so I had some scans done, and sure enough, it’s back.
But um, we’re going to take it day by day and see what happens. I want to thank you all again for your moral support. You know, to the way you’ll reach out to me, still, is very you know, thank you very much> but I’ll keep you updated and let you know how it goes, alright? we’ll see you soon.”
This GoFundMe remains active in raising funds for the costs associated with Koller‘s ongoing battle against the disease.
