Multi-platinum alternative rockers Foo Fighters made their return to the stage last night, September 13th, performing a last-minute headlining show at The Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA. That intimate 900 capacity venue hosted the band’s first show in just over a year. The group had previously went on hiatus last September after their vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl publicly admitted to infidelity that newly resulted in the birth of a child outside of his marriage.
Last night’s set also served as the first outing for the band’s new drummer Ilan Rubin, whom the they picked up from Nine Inch Nails. Ironically Foo Fighters‘ most recent drummer, Josh Freese, returned to Nine Inch Nails in light of the vacancy created by Rubin‘s exit. Freese himself was fired from the Foo Fighters this past spring. Last night’s setlist for the big return went as follows:
“All My Life“
“Rope“
“Have It All” (last played in 2015)
