British sludge metallers URNE‘s brand new album “Setting Fire To The Sky” has been revealed for a January 30th release through Spinefarm. SikTh‘s Justin Hill produced this third full-length from the London-based outfit, which features mixing from Johann Meyer and mastering by Tony Lindstrom.
Setting a high bar for the band, vocalist/bassist Joe Nally stated of the band’s mindset with this album, “I feel like I’m in Metallica in 1988 with what we do.” You can further decide if he spoke out of turn or not today, with the below debut of a video for the album’s latest single “Be Not Dismayed“. Nally said of it:
“I wrote the lyrics to ‘Be Not Dismayed’ after spending a few summers playing some of the best metal festivals around and seeing the buzz that fans would have by being there. On people’s faces, you could see they were experiencing pure elation, and I guess it took me back to that feeling I used to have going to shows. I clearly remember the feeling I had when I went to see Slayer for the first time at the London Astoria. I went through it all. In the end, it was the moment that set me on a path to where I am now.”
In other news, the band have added another face to their live arsenal, with Kurtis Bagley now set to join the trio as a second guitarist onstage. His live debut will come during the band’s September 13th show at the Camden Assembly in London.
