Music critic Anthony Fantano of The Needledrop fame has released a new video responding to the defamation suit he recently won. That complaint was filed against him by Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke back in August of 2024, after Radke was incensed about the claims made about him in a video posted by Fantano in August of 2023. That nearly 8-minute video, ‘This Guy Sucks‘, found Fantano heavily critiquing Radke‘s music and behavior, both past and present.
Radke‘s initial defamation suit in part claimed of that video:
“Fantano‘s nearly eight-minute verbal tirade regarding Radke——whom the defendant does not know and has never even met——goes beyond the bounds of permissible commentary and extends into the realm of actionable innuendo, unfounded rumormongering and outright untruth.”
Radke announced earlier this month that he lost the suit against Fantano, issuing this video statement, in which claimed that negative outcome was expected. Radke also used that video response to stir the pot a bit with Fantano, and has since gone on to mocking Fantano online, and from the stage during recent Falling In Reverse shows.
In his below newly shared video outlining the suit, Fantano provided a timeline for the case, as well as excerpts from the proceedings, while also further sharing some of his feelings on Radke.
Fantano also claimed in this new video that Radke initially sued the wrong Anthony Fantano, leading to some legal hang-ups before he was actually served properly. The actual Fantano went on to file an Anti-SLAPP motion in response to the suit, essentially claiming Radke‘s suit was filed with the intent of silencing Fantano.
The judge ultimately sided with Fantano‘s defense against the complaint, with Fantano stating that Radke also ordered to pay Fantano‘s legal fees in regards to the case. As for the claims Radke has made regarding Fantano in the video response mentioned above after losing his suit, Fantano vowed to later get more in-depth on that in an future video.
