Kittie appear to have some sort of 25th anniversary throwback planned for their 1999 gold-certified debut album, “Spit“. The Canadian band shared the below post hinting at their plans on social media today, August 16th.

In it is a shot of vocalist/guitarist Morgan Lander working with producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Mudvayne), presumably during the original recording sessions for “Spit“. Also included is an updated shot of the band’s current lineup with Richardson. The band captioned that post, “1999 but make it 2025 #somethingiscoming #XXV #fullcircle”.

One would assume this means a potential re-recording of “Spit” or some tracks from it, though that remains speculation at this point. Richardson was instrumental in the early chapters of Kittie‘s career, capturing them at their nü-metal peak and overseeing the sessions for their 2001 sophomore album “Oracle“, which saw them implement death metal and thrash influences.
