With their December 19th stop at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii having since sold out, progressive metal chart-toppers Tool have announced a second show. That concert will take place at the same venue a day later on December 20th. Those performances will mark the renowned band’s first time back in the Aloha State since last touching down in 2011.
Members of the band’s Tool Army fan club will be given first dibs on the tickets, with a pre-sale set to launch this Wednesday, August 13th at 10:00am. Those who purchased tickets for the sold out first show will also be given early access to attend the second date, with an exclusive pre-sale set to launch on August 14th at 10:00am local time. The general onsale will be up this Friday, August 15th at 10:00am local time.
One would hope that the group have learned their lesson from the last time they played back-to-back sets in a tropical setting. Earlier this year, Tool faced threats of a class-action lawsuit after largely performing the same setlist two nights in a row during their first-ever ‘Tool Live In the Sand‘ festival.
