Mastodon have confirmed that their song “Curl Of The Burl” will serve as the first single from their new album “The Hunter“. A digital single will be released for the track on August 16th, with a music video to follow. In addition to that, the band will be offering a special 3D experience with each physical copy of the “The Hunter” when it hits stores on September 27th via Reprise.
To that end the band offered the following:
“When “The Hunter” is released on September 27th, each copy comes with a special 3D experience called Augmented Reality. Just by using a camera on a computer, you can turn your own face into ‘The Hunter‘ sculpture from the album cover.
There will also be a CD/DVD that comes with a track-by-track video, psychedelic visualizer, and the “Deathbound” and “Black Tongue” videos.
Plus, the limited edition comes with a lenticular poster AND two bonus tracks – “Deathbound” and “The Ruiner.””
