The New York Times are reporting that that heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne‘s July 22nd passing was the result of a heart attack, citing the official death certificate filed by his family on the matter. Said certificate also noted that he had suffered from coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.
It’s been reported that an air ambulance was dispatched to the Osbourne estate on the day of Osbourne‘s passing to administer critical care. The Prince Of Darkness’ death occurred roughly two weeks after he was able to live out his dream of playing one final live show.
That event, ‘Back To Beginning‘, served as a celebration of his career and legacy as well as the pioneering role the band he fronted, Black Sabbath, dad in inventing the metal genre. Over $190 million was raised for charity through that event.
