After Being Arrested For Playing A Live Show At A BP Gas Station, Silly Goose Held A Listening Party Across The Street

Silly Goose‘s predilection for performing in unconventional settings saw them run afoul of local law enforcement recently. The Atlanta, gA nü-metal band, who have staged impromptu concerts in a Waffle House, a Cracker Barrel, a Buc-ee’s, a Subway, a McDonald’s, and a Chick-fil-A, among other guerilla gigs, ended their latest performance at a BP gas station in Chicago, IL with their vocalist Jackson Foster in cuffs.

While Foster maintains that the individuals running the gas station at the time had given consent to the band’s impromptu set, that likely wasn’t good enough for the authorities, as concerns regarding noise bylaws, permits and more come into play.

According to Foster, he was ultimately arrested for trespassing. Undeterred, the band then proceeded to setup shop right across the street from the very gas station he got arrested in the night prior, this time to have a listening party of sorts with their fans. Foster stated of the charge he is facing for the ill-fated set mentioned above:

“To anyone who is curious: I got charged with criminal trespassing (which is bs because the employees at the gas station gave us permission to play there) and I’ll be back in Chicago September 2nd to appear in court. I’ll post a full video explaining once I get home.”

Ironically, this pair of improvised appearances followed the band performing at the annual flagship edition of the ‘Lollapalooza‘ festival in Chicago, IL. The group’s new album “Keys To The City” is headed for an October 10th release through Blue Grape Music.
