Industrial metal Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers Nine Inch Nails look to have recruited the services of a former member in Josh Freese. While it remains unclear as to the extent of his involvement (Ilan Rubin has held down the drums for the band since 2013 in a live capacity), the band have appear to at least have something lined up with Freese. The below post was shared on their social media today, July 30th:

Freese previously held down the drums in Nine Inch Nails from 2005 to 2008. He most recently has been touring with A Perfect Circle again, in addition to splitting with Foo Fighters this past May.
Update: July 30th, 2025 05:52pm:
It’s since been reported that Freese has rejoined Nine Inch Nails, with Nine Inch Nails‘ drummer Ilan Rubin having gone on to take over the drumming seat most recently held by Freese in Foo Fighters. In an even more ironic twist, just three weeks ago Freese, praised Rubin‘s ability in Nine Inch Nails.
After concluding a European/UK leg of shows this past May, Nine Inch Nails will be back out in North America next month for the following run:
