A swath of vinyl reissues from tenured sludge metal outfit Melvins have been announced for September 26th through Ipecac Recordings. Due out on that date are new pressings of their 2001 live album “Colossus Of Destiny“, their 2012 ‘Melvins Lite‘ album “Freak Puke” and its 2013 covers follow-up “Everybody Loves Sausages“. A rundown of the variants set to be made available include:
“Colossus Of Destiny” (2001) – First time on vinyl. A 2LP live album Decibel hailed as “a blissful exploration of abstract noise.”
600 on opaque purple vinyl (Ipecac webstore exclusive)
1200 on black vinyl“Everybody Loves Sausages” (2013) – Previously only available as part of a hyper-limited (77 copies) box set, the 13-track collection of covers, with several guests including Jello Biafra (Roxy Music’s “In Every Dream Home A Heartache”), Clem Burke (The Kinks’ “Attitude”), and Mark Arm (The Scientists’ “Set It on Fire”).
