Metallica vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield has partnered with construction company Case for a limited edition TV450B compact track loader which he intends to use on his own personal ranch. That loader has been emblazoned with various artwork that draws inspiration from Hetfield‘s world famous band, as well as his own personal tattoos and preferred guitars.
A manufacturing run of 25 of that customized loader, which was first unveiled in December of last year, have been produced and and are available, along with associated merch, via casece.com. As for the inspiration behind the artwork for the loader, Case stated:
‘The winning proposal was submitted by John Piper, a rising design talent here at CNH. Piper crafted a concept that recalled one of Hetfield’s tattoos, a skull with wings, together with the sharp iconic font reminiscent of his band’s graphics and album artwork. He also drew from the pinstriping in Hetfield’s private hotrod collection. All these elements were integrated atop a sandy camouflage pattern reminiscent of Hetfield’s signature Snakebyte electric guitar – a direct request from the artist.’
