It looks like The Sphere in Las Vegas, NV might be the next frontier from thrash metal’s reigning kings in Metallica. Several publications have been running the news lately, including Vital Vegas, who report that the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers are lining up a stint of fall 2026 shows at the unique venue, which offers wraparound visuals and 4D effects.
The band’s guitarist Kirk Hammett previously indicated that he was open to the idea of playing the venue, telling The Hollywood Reporter this past May of if the band would entertain the idea of performing at The Sphere:
“Oh, heck, yeah! That’s a great example of how venues are changing. That’s using modern technology to the fullest, to really up the levels of production and entertainment, connected to AI and making it a crazy experience.”
For now, there’s been no official indication yet that the band will actually be hitting the stage at the revolutionary venue, but there’s also been industry chatter circulating about the booking looking pretty solid at the moment.
