Veteran metalcore band Hatebreed‘s new single “Make The Demons Obey” has received its online premiere. This song is the first track to emerge from the Bridgeport, CT natives since 2020. It also arrives in the wake of the litigious split with longtime bassist Chris Beattie. While guitarist Wayne Lozniak is currently on hiatus as he prepares to undergo brain tumor surgery, he is a confirmed participant on this newly unveiled single.
The band’s vocalist Jamey Jasta weighed in on this new cut:
“Lots of bands say that their newest release will be their heaviest and I guess we are no different. We’ve managed to push the envelope and surpass our expectations. We’ve become tighter, harder and more vicious than ever. This is the most excited I’ve been for any Hatebreed release.”
Drummer Matt Byrne also shared his thoughts, offering:
“Very exciting things are happening in the Hatebreed camp. It’s time to unleash this beast — new music is here! This is the fastest, most vicious, and most aggressive music we have ever created and I’m pumped for the world to hear it.”
Interestingly, the band are currently approaching their career independently, though they are weighing their options with how to proceed with their next release. Until then, they intend to keep releasing singles.
