Atreyu have re-recorded their gold-certified 2004 sophomore album “The Curse” with Memphis May Fire‘s Kellen McGregor having handled the production and mixing. This new version of the effort of course sports the group’s current lineup, meaning bassist Marc “Porter” McKnight will be handling the screaming parts originally laid down by the band’s ex-vocalist Alex Varkatzas. Speaking of their vision for this re-recording, the band commented:
“Rebuilt with reverence — not to rewrite, but to reclaim. This is the album that shaped everything, re-recorded from the ground up with 20 years of perspective and precision. It’s heavier. It’s sharper. It’s The Curse, fully realized.”
