It’s been one hell of a run lately for alternative metal outfit Deftones. Decades into their legendary career, the group have comfortably grown their fanbase into arena headlining tours, thanks in part to the veteran band managing to connect with younger audiences.

Last month alone saw the Sacramento, CA natives sell out their biggest UK headlining show to date, their 2000 landmark opus “White Pony” turn 25, and their vocalist/guitarist Chino Moreno turn 52. On top of that, their long-awaited tenth studio album appears to be in line for an August release.

If that all wasn’t enough to keep them smiling, the group have also just been awarded a raft of new platinum and gold single and album certifications in the United States by the RIAA. All of these new certifications were handed out today, July 03rd.

Unsurprisingly leading the pack is the band’s biggest hit, “Change (In The House Of Flies)” has newly been certified 4x multi-platinum. Here’s the rundown of today’s certifications:

White Pony” (2x platinum) (album)
Saturday Night Wrist” (gold) (album)
Diamond Eyes” (gold) (album)
Change (In The House Of Flies)” (gold, platinum, 2x platinum, 3x platinum, 4x platinum)
Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)” (gold, platinum, 2x platinum)
My Own Summer (Shove It)” (gold, platinum, 2x platinum)
Passenger” (feat. Maynard James Keenan) (gold, platinum)
Rosemary” (gold, platinum)
Cherry Waves” (gold, platinum)
Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want” (The Smiths cover) (gold)
Hole In The Earth” (gold)
Entombed” (gold)
Minerva” (gold)
Beware” (gold)
Around The Fur” (gold)
Beauty School” (gold)

A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
