Deftones' Tenth Album Finally Draws Near As The Band Begin Teasing The Release Of 'Private Music'

New music from Deftones‘ long-awaited tenth studio album appears to finally be at hand. The multi-platinum alternative metal stars are thought to have wrapped up the sessions for that effort with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters) last year, leading to a painful wait for fans of the band.

However, yesterday’s (June 29th) headlining set at Crystal Palace Park in London, UK found the band teasing the upcoming arrival of ‘Private Music‘. Roman numerals found under the new  logo and the aforementioned phrase projected on the screens included ‘X.VII.MMXXV’.

While one would assume that would indicate an album release date of October 07th, 2025, that date actually falls upon a Tuesday, defying standard Friday release date convention. Instead, fans are hypothesizing that the teased date is more in line with the traditional UK approach of where it was advertised.

In that area of the world, it is commonplace to list the day rather than the month first. As such, the date would seemingly indicate a July 10th reveal. An interesting aside to the tease is the included note that the expected new music is being distributed by Deftones, rather than the band’s more recent label home of Reprise Records. Deftones‘ live plans at the moment include:
