Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland is known to dress for the occasion when it comes to the band’s live shows, but his latest getup while opening for thrash metal legends Metallica last night June 27th) in Denver, CO was more homage than outlandish.
The influential nü-metal guitarist adjusted his outfit to mimic the of vintage 80s era Metallica vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield. As Borland has done throughout the trek, he even utilized his ‘EET PHO’-adorned guitar during the set. That phrase is a nod to the ‘EET FUK’ that was emblazoned upon James Hetfield‘s 1987 ESP MX220 during the late 80s
Yesterday’s set marked the end of Limp Bizkit‘s latest run opening for Metallica, with the overhauled choice in attire perhaps being a bit of an end of tour prank in turn.
