Heartsick‘s latest offering of their self-described ‘darknucore’ has emerged in the form of their below newly shared track, “Debt To Pay“. Wombat Fire (Bad Wolves, Asking Alexandria) filmed the video that accompanies it.
Per a press release, ‘The song centers around the running theme of the struggles DIY bands face trying to break through the noise of the underground and the at times harmful ideology of paying your dues. A push back on the idea that “paying your dues” is somehow synonymous with a band’s worth inside the music industry gates and the amount is never seemingly enough. What are you willing to do for your art? How much should artists need to collect in paid debt before they are deemed profitable? Who makes the rules and determines the so-called currency?’
