While decades of heavy metal, legendary hard partying, and his bat-biting ways had Ozzy Osbourne as public enemy #1 to many a parent during the height of his 80s heyday, the heavy metal legend has certainly softened with time. In 2014, he even went so far as voice an animated character in a preschool children’s TV series.

Now the 76-year-old icon, who is preparing to play one last final live show on July 05th in Birmingham, UK celebrating his solo work, as well as his time fronting pioneering heavy metal outfit Black Sabbath, stars in a new animated seek-and-find book that brings to mind the popular ‘Where’s Waldo?‘ series.

Osbourne partnered up with Fantoons for this officially licensed venture, ‘Where’s Ozzy?‘, which will be released on July 29th. This new book draws inspiration from Osbourne‘s life and career, as well his hit songs and albums. As such, some of the illustrations featured are not entirely appropriate for children.

You can see some examples of what’s in store, including a send up of the chaos of the filming of of his family’s hit reality TV series ‘The Osbournes‘, via the official pre-order pages (US) and (UK.)

Author David Calcano shared:

“A book like this only works when it’s built around a legend who rewrote the rules—with thunderous music, iconic style, and wicked humour. Fans will lose themselves in a world packed with Ozzy Easter Eggs and the raw energy our team poured into every page. All abooooooard!”
