The lengthy writing and recording sessions for Megadeth‘s seventeenth studio album appear to be coming to an end. The band’s vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine has revealed in a post today, June 10th, that he has begun tracking vocals for the effort, which will eventually land through Tradecraft/BLKIIBLK.
Sessions for this new opus from the thrash metal legends commenced this past November with producer Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Parkway Drive) once again back behind the boards. Generally when it comes to album recording, the instruments are laid down and locked in first, with vocal tracking concluding the sessions. Notably, this new album will serve as the band’s first since recruiting guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari back in 2023.
