With their vocalist Jón Aldará sitting out the bulk of their 2025 touring, progressive melodic death metal outfit Iotunn have shared a track from his newly recruited live replacement: Morten Bering Bryld from Heidra. Below you can watch him tackle “Mistland” from the group’s 2024 album “Kinship“. Morten said of his new role:
“I’ve known Jón since we toured together a number of years ago with our other bands and I’ve been a big fan of him and his impeccable voice ever since, so, while it is unfortunate that Jón cannot be there to sing for you himself, it is an honour for me to get to help out on vocals for Iotunn‘s upcoming shows. It’s not a task I take lightly, and I will do my utmost to do the songs justice. Looking forward to seeing you all out there.”
His first show with the band will take place June 26th at Terra Republic in Pidna Kolindros, Greece. Among the dates with Morten on the mic is the below fall European tour with Dark Tranquillity, Soen and Equilibrium:
