Seether vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan took time out of a recent set to berate security at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa in Catoosa, OK this past Thursday, May 29th. Morgan became enraged with venue staff after they removed his 7-year-old daughter from the side of the stage ahead of the closing performance of the South African hard rock band’s 2x multi-platinum hit “Remedy“. After taking some time to figure out what happened, Morgan went on to address the crowd as follows [transcribed by theprp.com]:
“Hey, sorry, that took a little while. I had my*cking kid on the side of the stage the whole entire show, and then suddenly this fucking a**hole kicks her the f*ck off the stage. She’s seven-years-old, and now she can’t even go in the front of f*cking house and watch the show? Man, f*ck you. What the f*ck is wrong with people? She’s a f*cking child, and you just kicked her off the f*cking stage her dad’s playing. I hope your dick is super fucking huge bro.”
While Morgan and his bandmates went on to finish out the set with a performance of “Remedy“, Morgan altered a considerable portion of the lyrics to voice his discontent with the security staff and the venue, even tossing in multiple lines in regards to the presumed small size of the genitalia of the offending venue employee.
