German symphonic deathcore group Ruins Of Perception launched a music video for their new song “Ashura” today, May 15th. That track will make its way to other digital service providers tomorrow, May 16th. The band commented:

“This track is a fusion of our debut Shinigami and latest Ballads of Blood EP, featuring our signature slams and breakdowns, but also a catchy hook and memorable rhythmic passages that incorporate elements of metal-core and djent. Of course, it’s packed with our trademark symphonic elements — orchestras and choirs — and we’ve given special attention to the piano melodies, which evoke the death-core era of Make Them Suffer. Paired with the guitar’s lead melodies it is absolutely catchy, which is exactly what we aimed for!

Lyrically, Ashura ties back to our debut album and dives deep into Japanese mythology once again. It’s about the Ashura — demonic half-gods of the intermediate realm whose wrath and warrior spirit descend upon humanity. They’re often depicted with six arms and three faces.

It’s a long-standing dream of ours to set ourselves in a mystical, Japanese-inspired scene! ‘Ashura‘ was the perfect opportunity for that. The concept captures the essence of the song perfectly. The star of the video is, of course, our very own Ashura, played by fitness coach Nezih, a friend of guitarist Max. He embodies the role of the demonic demigod flawlessly — and thanks to modern tech, he even has two extra pairs of arms (though he probably doesn’t need them).

This song is pure fun and live, it hits even harder! We can’t wait to see the pits go crazy when we perform it.”
