The legacy of legendary New York City punk rock club CBGB lives on nearly two decades after its closure. A staple in the punk, metal, hardcore scenes and beyond, that storied venue was closed in 2006.
While the brand has lived on in several incarnations, this year will see see the launch of the ‘CBGB Festival‘, which according to organizers, aims to answer the question, ‘who would be playing at CBGB today?’ With the aforementioned venue long shuttered, this new event will be held Under The K Bridge in Brooklyn, NY on September 27th and feature a litany of musicians from various suitable genres performing.
