Long-running doom metal outfit Candlemass have revealed a video for their cover of Black Sabbath‘s 1973 single “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath“. That premiere coincides with today’s (May 09th) release of Candlemass‘s newly four-song EP, “Black Star“, which celebrates the band’s 40th anniversary. Bassist/ex-vocalist Leif Edling spoke up on tackling this legendary song, offering:
“‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath‘ needs no introduction, one of the best songs ever recorded if you ask me. Maybe not the obvious choice, but it’s been a dream for me to do it one day and here it is! Our rendition of ‘S.B.S.’ (Mass Bloody Mass?)”
