When Korn wrote “Children Of The Korn” with Ice Cube back in the late 90s, they likely weren’t intending on being prophetic and yet here we are. A new feature overseen by Jennea Welch, the daughter of the pioneering nü-metal band’s guitarist/vocalist Brian “Head” Welch, charts the post-Korn branches added to the respective family trees of Welch, vocalist Jonathan Davis and guitarist/vocalist James “Munky” Shaffer.
Given his estranged status, the children of bassist Reginal “Fieldy” Arvizu were not included in the feature, which has newly been published by Adidas. While Korn initially helped resurrect the Adidas tracksuit in pop culture back in the mid to late 90s, it wasn’t until decades later that the two entities officially began collaborating, releasing several successful capsule collections together thus far.
