Deadguy‘s first new album since 1995 has been announced for a June 27th release through Relapse Records. The influential metalcore band, whose sole studio album “Fixation On A Co-Worker” arrived back in 1995, reunited back in 2021 and have continued together since after previously disbanding back in 1997.

The song “Kill Fee” is the first offering to be revealed from this new outing, which has been titled “Near-Death Travel Services“. A music video for that song was shot with director William Saunders and is available below.

Meanwhile, the group looked to their roots in recording this effort, having once again enlisted the services of producer Steve Evetts (Hatebreed, The Dillinger Escape Plan) for it. A press release also spelled out the curious title of the record as follows:

Near-Death Travel Services‘ is an inside joke, the band reflecting on touring and playing this music when they’re ostensibly past their prime. But there are no signs of this being a swansong; no winding down, no taking it easy or resting on their laurels. The band Deadguy was 30 years ago went into hibernation and came back as if no time had passed. How did it happen? How were they able to pull it off? Maybe some egghead professor of musicology can figure that out, but for the rest of us it’s best to just gratefully sit back and enjoy the massacre.’
