Drumeo recently forced Boys Like Girls drummer Johnny Keefe (Taylor Swift, Daughtry, etc.) to step out of the confines of his pop rock wheelhouse and come up with his own drum parts for Sepultura‘s nü-metal anthem “Roots Bloody Roots“.
In keeping with the premise of this series of videos, the musician in the hot seat is played the track first with all percussion removed, and has to be unfamiliar with the song prior. While Drumeo struck out with initial attempts from songs by Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, Van Halen, Marilyn Manson, 311 and more, they eventually hit pay dirt with Sepultura‘s definitive 1996 track.
