Diamond-certified alternative metal/nü-metal group Evanescence will be dropping a brand new single titled “Afterlife” this coming Friday, March 28th on leading digital service providers. That song is tied into the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the ‘Devil May Cry‘ video game series.
You may have noticed that animated adaptation of the game series is also leaning on some other stars from the height of nü-metal’s popularity, with Limp Bizkit soundtracking the opening theme, and Papa Roach‘s 6x multi-platinum 2000 hit “Last Resort” appearing in a recent trailer for the series.
A lyric video for this new single featuring clips from the series will be landing online a day earlier at 09:00am PST / 12:00pm EST. You can pre-save the track in advance via netflixmusic.ffm.to/afterlife. ‘Devil May Cry‘ will debut on Netflix on April 03rd.
