It’s been relatively quiet over the past year for Los Angeles, CA progressive metalcore outfit Volumes. The group last hit the stage in January of 2024 and kept it low-key until this past fall, when their bassist/programmer Raad Soudani checked in on social media to confirm that a fifth studio album was in the works.
Soudani showered that outing with early praise, in part saying, “As high up as fans hold ‘VIA‘ I believe this is our greatest work. It encompasses everything about the Volumes sound.”
A brief video clip went up online on the band’s social media today, February 27th, and seems to signal that the group have been holed up in the studio working on that follow-up to 2021’s “Happier?“. You can watch that clip below:
