Ex-Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci is heading up a fledgling new label venture dubbed CrowdKill Records. Antonucci exited the aforementioned metalcore band back in 2010 and went on to find some viral fame for a heated public feud with Falling In Reverse‘s Ronnie Radke that resulted in warring diss tracks and barbs. Ultimately, that feud came to an end without any bloodshed, and Antonucci went on to try his hand at acting, while also serving as an executive VP of business development and A&R at Sumerian Records.

For this new venture, Antonucci has brought on Gravel Road as an investor. That label/management firm is headed up by another individual familiar to the metalcore scene: Anthony Martini of E-Town Concrete. Antonucci has built a career outside of that band as an industry executive, helping guide the careers of various high-profile artists from the hip hop world and more.

A press release states that CrowdKill Records seeks to foster an “artist-forward strategy” that aims to, “bridge the gap of trust that has slowly been decaying between label and musician.”

Antonucci himself said of the venture, “We’ve always believed in creating a partnership with artists — not just a deal. CrowdKill isn’t about the typical corporate structure that treats artists as commodities; we’re building something that feels more like a family.”

Deathcore outfit Filth and industrialized nü-metaller Nathan James are the first signings to the venture thus far.
