A pair of Oceano‘s social media profiles have been wiped amid the deathcore group’s latest controversy. Upon announcing the dates for their farewell tour this past week, the group were accused of lifting a design idea for the admat for that trek. That accusation was leveled by an artist they had initially hired on to work on the admat. Oceano vocalist Adam Warren would later fire back against some of the allegations made against him by the artist, but the war of words between Warren and the artist didn’t offer much in the way of public resolution.
As noted , on Reddit overnight, several days removed from that incident, the band’s Instagram and Facebook have now been largely been wiped. As Lambgoat point out, all mention of the band’s farewell tour has also been scrubbed for now, including mentions made of it on the social media of scheduled openers I Declare War, See You Next Tuesday and more.
It remains to be seen if this is just digital housekeeping in relation to the controversial admat for the tour, or an indication of a premature end to Oceano‘s career. Ironically, Oceano‘s decision to call it quits came about last fall in response to another online controversy.
