Deathcore outfit Oceano have found themselves in another online controversy, this time regarding the admat for their farewell tour. An artist named Chris Gallien has publicly accused the band of stealing an idea he submitted for use on that admat, sharing the below comparison of his work and the final result. He said alongside that:
“Ya I’m not keeping my mouth shut. Don’t meet your heroes, they’ll take advantage of you. That Oceano tour flier that dropped yesterday was my work and I got zero credit for it. Straight up “hey, you can copy my homework, just change it up a little”.
I was told my flier didn’t make the cut, and then see that my work was completely ripped off and plagiarized.
With that being said, I’m not working with Adam or Oceano on anything moving forward. That’s the last time I do anything without upfront deposits and contracts. Even the big boys will play you.”
That aforementioned tour was announced yesterday. Oceano vocalist Adam Warren revealed last fall that he would be bringing the band to an end in 2025. His decision came about amid Oceano enduring a wave of backlash for agreeing to a controversially billed tour.
