The Amity Affliction vocalist/bassist Ahren Stringer briefly commented on Instagram over the weekend of his now officially confirmed removal from the group. Stringer‘s absence from the Australian metalcore band began back in the spring of 2024, when the outfit announced he was taking time away to deal with his addiction and mental health issues.
Despite indicating he was “happy, sober, and thriving” this past September and intended to resume touring with the band, a question mark remained over his status. At least until this past Friday, February 14th, when the group officially confirmed he was no longer a member. Comments reposted by Stringer at the time indicated that his ouster was not his decision.
Speaking on IG over the weekend, Stringer made clear that he was fired from the group, offering:
“Not tryna start anymore shit BUT I have been kicked out of my band. I will NEVER play with The Amity Affliction (who blocked me btw) love you all x.”
