The Melvins and Napalm Death have a collaborative new effort titled “Savage Imperial Death March” set to be made available this Sunday, February 16th. That effort was recorded at Sound Of Sirens by Toshi Kasai (Helmet, Big Business). It will serve as a companion piece of sorts for the upcoming ‘Savage Imperial Death March Part II Tour‘ set to be undertaken by the aforementioned respective sludge metal and grindcore veterans this spring.

AmRep Records will be overseeing that release, with head honcho Thomas Hazelmyer stating of it:

“The title put me in a World War 1 frame of mind. The last gasp for more than a few empires and monarchies, and for anyone familiar, a fucking horror-show of humanity crushing, meat grinding tactics overseen by utterly uncaring upper class elites refusing to change disastrous and arcane warfare methods despite the millions slaughtered to no ends. At least the whole world learned from the hideous mistake and it would never be repeated!”

The record is set to be available for purchase via shoxop.com this coming Sunday, February 16th. Dates for the upcoming co-headlining run featuring the two bands run as follows.
