Savage Lands have just released a video for their track “Ruling Queen“, which finds Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz guesting. Savage Lands are spearheaded by Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, etc.) and Sylvain Demercastel, and exist not only as a musical outlet, but also an artist-run environmental non-profit. Through the latter they donate the majority of their profits to preservation and conservation projects in Costa Rica and more.

White-Gluz commented of her involvement:

“Art and activism converge in a space of meaning, and that is where I choose to stand. Metalheads have always been powerful and passionate people in my eyes. I hold deep gratitude for Savage Lands and their relentless work in safeguarding the fragile beauty of Costa Rica’s ecosystem.”

Obituary guitarist Kenneth Andrews also took part in the track and said of the experience, stating, “It has been my pleasure and honor to be part of this unbelievable project. Let’s do our part!” Meanwhile, Verbeuren took the time to weigh in on White-Gluz lending her voice to the track, stating:

“Obviously, it’s great when Savage Lands receives support from a huge star like Alissa, but that she also buys into the philosophy behind our organization makes it even better.”

Savage Landsguest-filled debut album “Army Of The Trees will be released February 15th through Season Of Mist.
