Los Angeles, CA hardcore punk band XCOMM have signed with Blowed Out Records, having caught the ear of that label’s co-founder Ross Robinson. Among the group’s roster is drummer Revel Ian, the multi-instrumentalist son of thrash metal icon Scott Ian (Anthrax, etc.) and Pearl Aday. Vocalist/guitarist Michael Gatto, guitarist Jay Vargas and bassist Adan Escoto complete the band’s roster.
Robinson, known as the ‘godfather of nü-metal’ for his pivotal role on key releases from Korn, Slipknot and more, is overseeing XCOMM‘s forthcoming debut album. Speaking of the group, he shared:
“Raw, ripping talented kids, faced with so much heavy adversity, have turned to this super cool punk expression rather than some bitter self-destruction. It’s given me a next-level inspiration to go deep into some sweet unknown territory. I’m having way too much fun on this one.”
Revel added:
“Ross Robinson has been one of, if not the best producer in the scene for over 33 years, and we are stoked and honored that he chose to work with us. We have created a behemoth of a record, and we couldn’t have done it without Ross. I can’t wait for everybody to hear what we’ve made.”
