Soen have announced the departure of bassist Oleksii ‘Zlatoyar’ Kobel from their roster. Newly taking his place in the band, is his predecessor in the role, Stefan Stenberg, who previously exited the group back in 2020. In a pair of statements issued this week on their social media, the progressive alternative metal band said the following up for the roster shakeup:
“We want to share an update with you all. Our bassist, Zlatoyar, has chosen to take a break from Soen.
While we will miss having him with us on stage, and in the band. We fully support his decision and respect his need to step away. We are deeply grateful for everything he has contributed in these last 4 years.
We wish him all the best during this break and look forward to what the future holds.
Soen will continue forward, all booked shows will take place as planned and we can’t wait to share what’s new with you all.

Kobel also issued the below statement of his own regarding his departure:
“Dear Soen fans,
Can you believe it’s been over four years of this incredible journey together? So many tours in so many countries, unforgettable festivals, sessions, and magical moments. As far as I know, this has been the longest-lasting and most stable lineup in Soen’s history — but nothing lasts forever.
I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be joining the upcoming tours. It’s time for me to take a break.
I’ve had so much fun, and this has been a truly unforgettable experience — full of both ups and downs. I’m grateful to have shared these moments with all of you. Now it’s time to focus on other aspects of life and work on new things. But don’t worry — I’m not leaving the music scene. You’ll still see me around, and I’m always open to good requests and opportunities
I wish the band all the best — there’s so much planned! And who knows, maybe our paths will cross again. So, I’m not saying “Goodbye,” just ‘See you next time!'”
