Earlier this month, Nine Inch Nails delayed the announcement of their highly anticipated world tour due to the devastating Californian wildfires. As it turns out, that wasn’t just an empathetic gesture, as the Rock Roll Hall Of Fame-inducted industrial metal outfit’s linchpin Trent Reznor has now revealed how was personally affected by those fires.
Both Reznor and his NIN bandmate in Atticus Ross virtually accepted an American Cinematheque award over the weekend for their critically acclaimed score for the film ‘Challengers‘. The pair were sat at their studio while accepting that honor, with Reznor revealing that the fires had previously seen them evacuated from that place of work.
Per Deadline, Reznor stated the following while accepting the aforementioned award:
“We just got back into our workplace after being evacuated and frankly we’re just a little bit mentally freaked out as I’m sure everyone here is. I hope that everyone is doing the best they can during these very trying and strange times we find ourselves in.”
