Legendary drummer Stewart Copeland (The Police, etc.) was recently introduced to “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)“, the 2000 single from multi-platinum nü-metal kingpins Limp Bizkit via Drumeo. While Copeland wasn’t familiar with the song itself, he did admit to being a general fan of the group as a whole.
Drumeo set out to put Copeland to the task of coming up with his own drum parts for that track. Ensuring he could pursue his own vision for the song, the version of the song Copeland first heard had the percussion removed.
