While Seattle, WA-based progressive metal outfit Nevermore went on hiatus back in 2011, it seemed like the door was effectively closed on the band for good with the December 2017 passing of vocalist Warrel Dane. By then, guitarist Jeff Loomis was in the midst of his nine-year stint with Arch Enemy.
Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard were forging ahead with the resurrection of Sanctuary. Meanwhile, drummer Van Williams struck it out with a handful of projects, including Ghost Ship Octavius. Essentially it’s been radio silence from the band since since Dane‘s death, but that changed today, December 27th.
Both Loomis and Williams are teasing ‘a new chapter’ for the outfit in 2025, sharing the below video hinting at what’s to come. That video also links to nevermoreofficial.com, which appears to still be under development to an extent.
