Taylor Barber, vocalist for Left To Suffer & Seven Hours After Violet, has racked up a number of complaints on Reddit thus far for allegedly failing to deliver on vocal lessons fans paid him for. One commenter detailed their plight, outlining claims of roughly two years of trying to get Barber to make good on the $80 USD lesson they paid him for. That post can be found via Reddit and comes complete with a series of screencaps and videos of digital exchanges between the individual and Barber.

Since posting yesterday, December 03rd, other users claiming to have encountered a similar situation with Barber came forward in the comments of that post. A separate post made on Reddit’s deathcore subreddit also saw numerous commenters voicing their concerns of allegedly struggling to get Barber to deliver on paid for guest spots and lessons.

As of yet, Barber doesn’t appear to have publicly addressed the allegations.

Update: December 04th, 2024 12:13pm:

Barber has now admitted to the allegations made against him regarding not fulfilling vocal lessons fans paid him for. He had since issued the following apology, vowing to make amends for his actions. His statement reads:

“From Taylor

To address the story that has been posted about me: Yes I failed to hold up my end of the bargain on some of my vocal lessons in the past from about 3 years ago. Yes I take full responsibility for my actions and I am extremely sorry to anyone I have upset in this process. The money will be refunded to anyone that didn’t get their lesson and if they want their lesson i’m happy to still give it.

At no time was this to take money from anyone but with touring and recording in all my projects time just gets away from me and I apologize. I love music more than anything and I respect everyone at any level who gets the joy to create and release themselves through sound. I have neglected my responsibilities and I am going to right my wrongs and refund anyone with outstanding debts i need to pay, and will never let anyone slip though the crack again.

Again I am extremely sorry and take this matter very seriously. Love you all dearly and hope to see you soon.”
