Hear DGMA Cover Deftones' "My Own Summer (Shove It)" For An Upcoming Nü-Metal Tribute Album

A nü-metal covers compilation has been assembled by numetalagenda.com for the coming holidays. Clocking in at 30 tracks, half of the set consists of new renditions of songs originally performed by OG nü-metal favs like Korn, System Of A Down, Deftones & Limp Bizkit.

Each of those covers have been tracked by up and upcoming artists in, or associated with, the modern nü-metal scene. 15 covers in total are being presented, with the second half of the compilation consisting of original songs from the aforementioned newer breed of bands.

The compilation has been titled “A Christmas F*cking Miracle: 15 Covers And 15 Originals By The New Wave Of Nu Metal” and will be available through Bandcamp exclusively for the time being, with a December 13th release date slated.

The covers portion of the set runs as follows:

11 – DARLOTODO – “One Step Closer” (Linkin Park cover)
12 – Ghosts of Hope – “Toxicity” (System Of A Down cover)

Below you can hear the first cover to be shared from the set, DGMA‘s spin on “My Own Summer (Shove It)“. That track was originally put out by Deftones back in 1997, serving as the lead single from their platinum-certified sophomore album, “Around The Fur“.
